Itinerary

Day 1. Arrive Perth and Sightseeing

Guests are met on arrival at Perth Airport at 1.00pm. Take a city tour, including Kings Park with 400 hectares of delightful gardens with more than 1,700 native species. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening.

Day 2. Geraldton and Wildflower Country

This morning we journey to Bindoon to visit a native wildflower farm, and afterwards visit the historical town of New Norcia, first settled in 1846 by the Benedictine monks. Visit the renowned Abbey and museum with its antique collection. In the afternoon, travel to Geraldton with wildflower viewing stops where possible.

Day 3. Wildflower Experience

Explore the local area and discover the amazing diversity of wildflowers in season.

Day 4. Nambung National Park and Pinnacles

Enjoy the trip south along the coast to Leeman and Cervantes, before arriving at Nambung National Park. Marvel at ancient limestone pillars in the Pinnacles Desert, then travel back to Fremantle.

Day 5. Fremantle

This morning you will visit a beautiful private garden, where you will enjoy a guided garden tour and morning tea. Afterwards enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Swan River to Perth, taking in the sights as you enjoy a lunch. This afternoon you will enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent grounds of the University of WA.

Day 6. Albany

Today we drive to the town of Albany passing through Williams and stopping at the Rose maze in Kojonup before arriving later this afternoon.

Day 7. Albany Sightseeing, Mt Romance Bodycare Factory and Banksia Farm

Tour Albany. Later, visit the Mt Romance Bodycare Factory. Next, explore the wildflower wonderland of Banksia Farm on a guided tour with a resident expert.

Day 8. Karri Timber Forests and Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk

Today, head to Gloucester National Park and see the 60-metre tall Gloucester Tree close up on the Valley of the Giants Tree Top walk.

Day 9. Margaret River Gardens

Today we visit a number of private gardens including the magnificent Paul Bangay designed Secret Garden, followed by a private garden in the same area. This afternoon visit Voyager Estate Winery and its grand Cape Dutch ‘werf’ garden featuring 1,600 roses.

Day 10. Orondo Garden

This morning travel to Dwellingup and the grand Orondo Farm Garden - made up of gardens, orchards and vineyards. After a guided tour be transferred to Perth airport at 3.30pm or alternatively Perth Novotel Hotel at 4.30pm, where your journey concludes.

Josh is a familiar face to Botanica, as co-owner and founder, Judy Vanrenen presented Josh with his Horticultural Media award in 2014 for Environmental Gardening. Afterwards enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Swan River taking in the sights as you enjoy lunch. Afterwards, there is free time to wander the historic township of Fremantle.

Day 6. Albany
