Blackwood and Mt Macedon Private Gardens
Visit the Diggers Club’s Garden of St Erth at Blackwood. Situated close to the Macedon Ranges and within the Wombat State Forest, throughout the year Blackwood is filled with flowering borders in spring to a blaze of autumn colour. As one of Australia’s most exciting cool-climate gardens, the garden is also home to a collection of rare and unusual plants. Afterwards, visit the beautiful private gardens of Frogmore and Tieve Tara before travelling back to Melbourne.
Gardens of the Dandenong Ranges
Travel to the Dandenongs and explore William Ricketts Sanctuary, where over 90 distinct sculptures depicting Aboriginal people inhabit a pure forest setting. Afterwards, wander through the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens, enjoying breathtaking views over the Yarra Valley. This afternoon, visit the acclaimed Cloudehill Garden, with its extensive herbaceous borders, roses and azalea walks.Daily :
Cranbourne Botanic Gardens and Heronswood
Visit the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens, with its exciting Australian Garden. Continue to Heronswood Garden in Dromana, the home of the Diggers Club, and enjoy a tasting-plate lunch created straight from the garden. This afternoon we continue on to the late Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s property, Cruden Farm, which is sure to be a highlight. During dinner tonight, enjoy a special Melbourne Flower Show lecture.Daily :

Yarra Valley and North East Victoria Private Gardens
Today, journey to the Yarra Valley region to visit the private garden of Lubra Bend, designed by acclaimed garden designer, Phillip Johnson. Then visit Alowyn Gardens, with its six distinct areas all leading from one magnificent 100-metre-long wisteria and rose-covered arbor. Arrive in Milawa in the north-east of Victoria, and settle in to your hotel.

Today you’ll visit a number of beautiful private gardens around the Bright region. You’ll have the chance to meet their owners and learn about the challenges of gardening in a cool climate. Enjoy free time to explore the town of Bright, renowned for its beautiful displays of autumn leaves. Gateway to the alpine scenery of Mount Buffalo, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek, the local area is also home to an extensive variety of flora and fauna. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner.Daily :
Beechworth and Depart Melbourne
Visit a magnificent, five-acre European-style garden in the heart of picturesque Stanley. Afterwards, feel as though you’ve stepped back in time as you explore the historic gold mining town of Beechworth, which boasts the highest number of National Trust-classified buildings in Australia. Take your time to explore the quaint shops here and perhaps have lunch at the famous Beechworth Bakery. On your way back to Melbourne, you’ll enjoy wandering around the private Sunnymeade Garden, situated in the Strathbogie Ranges, and described by the television program Better Homes and Gardens as one of Australia’s most beautiful gardens.
