Itinerary

Day 1. Arrive Sydney to Bowral

Depart Sydney Hotel at 9.30am or Sydney Airport at 10.00am travelling to Bowral in the Southern Highlands. On the way visit the lush Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, with displays from all over the world. Afterwards visit the private garden, Greenbrier Park. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening.
Stay: Two Nights: Bowral, Gibraltar Hotel or similar

Day 2. Red Cow Farm, Moidart and Bowral Tulip Festival

Visit Red Cow Farm, then onto Moidart, with its sunken rose garden. Visit Bowral’s Tulip Festival, an annual event showcasing an array of spring colour.

Day 3. Floriade and Canberra Sightseeing, Freedom of Choice

Arrive into Canberra and visit Floriade, Australia’s celebration of spring with its mass of colourful bulbs. Enjoy new types of blooms as Floriade showcases the latest bulb varieties. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Canberra along with spectacular views from atop of Mt Ainslie. Later, enjoy the freedom to choose to visit to the Australian War Memorial, the National Gallery of Australia or take a tour of new Parliament House.

Day 4. Private Gardens of the Monaro

Today we travel south to the Monaro High Country, and stunning private gardens, situated on historic merino sheep and cattle stations. Meet the owners and enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch.

Day 5. Canberra Private Gardens

Today spend time visiting some of Canberra’s gardens. Enjoy the unique opportunity to visit the grounds of Government House, the Home of the Governor General (subject to availability). Afterwards take a tour of the National Arboretum one of the world's largest living collections of rare, endangered and significant trees, winner of the World Architecture award for landscape where you will have time to enjoy lunch. This afternoon visit a beautiful private garden and meet their owner.

Day 6. Kentgrove & Mayfield Garden

Depart Canberra for Goulburn where we visit Kentgrove Historic Homestead, once site of the orchard for Argyle jam, which is now the venue for a '21st century' Victorian Kitchen Garden, designed with the challenges of climate change in mind. Afterward travel to Oberon to the privately owned Mayfield Garden, the largest privately owned cool climate garden in Australia before arriving into Leura.

Day 7. Mayfield Garden

Visit a private garden before travelling to Mayfield Garden, the largest privately owned cool climate garden in Australia. Enjoy a Farewell Dinner this evening.

Day 8. Blue Mountains and Depart Sydney
