Amsterdam Canal Cruise
Arrive in Amsterdam and be transferred to your hotel. You may like to arrive early to enjoy a visit to the Rijksmuseum at your leisure. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner and evening canal cruise to see Amsterdam by night.
Stay: Two Nights: Amsterdam, Jakarta Hotel or similar
Daily :Tulip Fields, Piet Oudolf Private Garden and Het Loo Palace
This morning, visit the private garden of Piet Oudolf. See the trial beds and plantings of this renowned garden designer, who is said to be responsible for the ‘new perennial’ movement. We then explore Het Loo, the former palace and gardens of King William II and his wife Queen Mary II. These have been reconstructed to match their original 17thcentury design. Drive back to Amsterdam through Flevoland to see the Netherlands’ largest open tulip fields. Tonight is free for you to explore Amsterdam.
Daily :Amsterdam Gardens of the Dutch Golden Age, Restaurant De Kas and Embark Panache
This morning, visit homes of the Dutch Golden Age, including the Museum Van Loon, the home of a co-founder of the Dutch East India Company, and Museum Willet-Holthuysen, featuring beautiful salons in the style of Louis XVI and a symmetrically designed French formal garden. Enjoy lunch at the Restaurant De Kas, where they grow their produce in onsite green houses. After lunch, travel to Alkmaar to board your canal boat, Panache. Once on board, enjoy a champagne welcome and an introduction to your crew and hotel barge.

Daily :Alkmaar Walking Tour & Garden and Zaanse Schans Sightseeing
Enjoy a walking tour of Alkmaar to see nearby polders, windmills and historic harbours, as well as a garden that preserves heirloom bulbs, including tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. We then begin our cruise, first heading to Zaanse Schans, an area renowned for its wooden windmills, barns and houses built in the traditional Dutch style. After lunch on board, we take a tour of Zaanse Schans, an open-air conservation area and museum. It offers us a vivid impression of the Dutch way of life, as it was in the 17th and 18th centuries. This historical area consists of authentic houses and windmills, an historic shipyard, pewter factory, a cheese and dairy farm and a grocery store dating back to the 1900’s.
Daily :Keukenhof Gardens
We enjoy an early morning cruise to the historic city of Haarlem, which dates back to the 13th century. After lunch on board our ship, this afternoon brings us to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, known as the ‘Garden of Europe’. Here, there are more than 100 acres filled with over seven million flowering bulbs. We take a stroll before this breathtaking backdrop of colour during a remarkable half-day excursion. Enjoy dinner ashore this evening at a local restaurant.
Daily :Aalsmeer Flower Auction and Art of Haarlem, Oude Wetering
Join our optional, very early, morning tour to Aalsmeer flower auction. There are some 17 million cut flowers traded here each day, from across the world. We return to our canal boat for breakfast, before enjoying a tour of Haarlem. The city is home to the Frans Hals Museum, founded in 1862, which includes a vast collection of Old Masters. Other highlights include St. Bavo’s Cathedral on the main square, where both Handel and Mozart played the magnificent Muller organ. There will also be an opportunity for free time to visit a fine selection of boutique shops. After lunch on board, we cruise to our mooring at Oude Wetering, from where you may like to walk or cycle along the lake’s towpaths.
Daily :Leiden Sights and Botanic Gardens
After breakfast we cruise to Leiden, Rembrandt's hometown, to visit highlights such as the historic centre; the garden courtyards of almshouses; and the Hortus Botanicus, the University of Leiden's botanical garden, which was founded in 1590 and contains plants from around the world. Enjoy free time to explore the many local cafes, boutique shops, markets and antique dealers.
Daily :Delft and Royal Delft Porcelain
Our morning cruise sees us arriving in Delft by lunchtime. The influential artist Johannes Vermeer once lived here and we tour the city’s historic centre, with its charming canals, backstreets, churches and antiques shops. While here, we also visit Royal Delft, for a private tour of its workshop. Delft is renowned for its pottery and ceramic products, which were styled on the imported Chinese porcelain of the 17th century. This beautiful, unspoilt town is more than 750 years old, and began as the home port of the Dutch East India Company. Enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board our ship this evening.

After breakfast, guests are transferred to Amsterdam where our tour concludes.
