The world’s biggest annual flower show is held in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace and includes the British Rose Festival.


Depart the May Fair Hotel London at 9am for the Hampton Court Flower Show, said to be the most spectacular of the English garden shows. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening.

Today we visit the National Trust Cliveden. Its glorious gardens and woodlands overlooking the River Thames are sure to delight. We also visit The Savill Garden, one of Britain’s greatest ornamental gardens with prolific herbaceous borders filled with summer flowering perennials.

Today we travel to RHS Wisley Gardens – Britain's best-loved garden. See both informal and formal gardens here as well as their small scale 'model gardens' to see what can be achieved at home. Travel to your country house hotel in Sussex and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

We visit Long Barn*, the former home of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson. The house is also notable for having famous residents such as Douglas Fairbanks and Charles Lindbergh at various times. Enjoy time to explore the gardens. We arrive to Wakehurst Garden with its 20th century Arts and Crafts garden and picturesque woodland surrounding a grand 16th-century house.

Today visit Merriments Garden with lawns, richly planted borders, pergola, bog garden and water garden with a bridge. Then arrive at Sarah Raven's Cutting Garden. Sarah, the wife of Adam Nicolson, the grandson of Vita Sackville-West, is a well-known gardener, writer and TV personality who has transformed an old Dairy Farm property ‘Perch Hill’ into a stunning garden and cookery school in East Sussex.

Today you'll visit another classic Arts and Crafts style garden at Gravetye Manor. This garden is considered to be amongst the most influential in English gardening history due to the innovative and revolutionary gardener, William Robinson, who lived here. Later, return to London, arriving at the May Fair Hotel at approximately 6pm.
